Well, hello there.....
I'm the Mistress - a bad-ass hippie and hilarious word weaver.
I started this site for personal use, and it is still for personal use, but I hope that those visitors I have enjoy it and maybe even learn something.
Life teaches us many lessons. Some we catch onto quickly, like if you call off work for a week with "the flu" that you're paycheck is going to be teensy-weensy and you probably won't be able to pay your cell phone bill thus missing that important phone call from the guy at the bar the day before. Eff.
Other lessons we don't quite catch onto - like how important it is to love one's self unconditionally and without reserve. Whether it's because we are taught from an early age that we will always have flaws or because we have been hurt so many times by others, these things hinder us. I know personally, profound self love is one of the things I'm working on. Along with being healthy. And being more social. And reading more. And being more dedicated to homework. And having the self-discipline of an empire penguin during nesting season (If you don't understand that one, please watch Scamper the Penguin). As you can see my list of self improvement goes on and on, but in the wise words of Captain Picard, "Humans thrive on self improvement!". All of these things can be accomplished and no matter how many improvements I hope to make, taking everything one day at a time and one step - one choice - at a time, I can accomplish anything and everything. I hope to share my struggles, thoughts, victories and failures and maybe through them, together, we will not be so alone.
